Imagine
As well as being a web designer, I am also a business process analyst. What this means to you is that you will be working with a person who has the ability to look at your company, analyze it, and combine that snapshot with your vision of what you would like to project about your company on the internet. The result is that I bring a strong background in analysis to combine with your artistic concept. Don’t worry if you don’t see yourself as an artist, I assure you that you are and that I will be able to help you create a company vision for the internet. You bring your imagination to the table, and I’ll take care of the rest!
Design
I design websites. By this I mean that I use WordPress templates to create a website that is an outflow of your imagination. I can build custom themes for your WordPress site, but have no doubt that you’ll be able to find a theme that blows you away. Then, I will customize that theme to fit your very particular needs. By adding plugins, widgets and hand rolled JavaScript or PHP coding, your website will become a custom designer content management system (CMS) that looks like a million bucks!
Beta
Beta is the most important part of this process. I pitch, you catch. During the Beta phase I take your design and start showing you what we’ve done, some options to move ahead, and what I’ll do. Rinse and repeat until you Beta is ready for prime time! It is also during the Beta phase that I will get you working on adding content to your website. Many small business owners have secretaries that might handle this, but whether yourself or a trusted business associate, the website will transform from concept to reality.
Connect
Do you use social media? Do you Tweet? Have a company Facebook page? Or use any other social media (Four Square, LinkedIn, etc.)? There are literally hundreds if not thousands of WordPress plugins that will rock your website. Instead of a flat, one dimensional billboard, you’ll get a multi-dimensional neon sign that connects you to your website. In many cases clients can update their websites from even a smartphone when on the go.
Deploy
Search Engine Optimization or SEO, is critical to you getting noticed. Because WordPress is a well developed tool, it comes with very extensive SEO capabilities. In plain English that means that I’ll teach you how to tag your posts, and search engines will gobble you up and spit you out as high as possible when people search for your business.
